Boreal ® Combo GHP

Hot Air, Cool Air, Hot Water and Domestic Hot Water … Have it all in One Machine!

Hot / Cold Air or Hot Water Output (AHW series) Energy efficient Geothermal Heat Pump is essentially an Ducted Air System Heating / Cooling (AC series) and a Hot Water (HW series) output combination geothermal heat pumps. The addition of a second, full condencing capability, refrigerant-to-water heat exchanger allows the Boreal ® Combo unit to function as a liquid-to-water geothermal heat pump whenever the unit is not calling for HEATING or COOLING via the ducted air system.

Boreal ® Combo Geothermal Heat Pump is ideally suited to a home which will be heated with radiant floor heating and cooled via a conventional central duct system. Switching of modes is done electronically via the room thermostat.

Boreal ® Combo Geothermal Heat Pumps are available with outputs from 40,000 to 95,000 Btu's. Energy efficient Geothermal Heat Pump absorb heat from the ground via one of the three collector systems (horizontal or vertical ground loops or two well system), used with ducted air and also for radiant floor hydronic heating and provide domestic hot water.

Boreal ® Combo geothermal heat pump developed with a Dual stage Copeland scroll compressor, a Direct drive Electronically Commutated (ECM) motor, a Save non-ozone depleting 410A refrigerant and a top or side discharge configuration. The ECM motor is quiet and has improved programmability for multiple speeds. The two speed compressor is allowing the geothermal heat pump to match heating and cooling loads instead of having to choose one or the other. The ozone friendly 410A moving us towards compliance with R22 phase out. The “top or side” discharge configuration allows technician on site change layout of mechanical room.
